RH Winery
With dedication and great love, Vinícola RH puts all its acquired experience into the glass, ensuring quality in the production of sparkling wines, standing out for providing unique sensory experiences and winning over the most demanding palates. Located in Mariópolis, in the state of Paraná, with the cultivation of Chardonnay grapes – a French white grape used worldwide in the production of sparkling wines using the Champenoise method, currently known as the traditional method outside the Champagne region.
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes
The winery has an area of 9.6 hectares, most of which are planted with Chardonnay white grape vines of French and Italian clones, and vines of the French Pinot Noir grape.
The vineyard is trained using a trellis system, similar to a fence, as this allows for better ventilation between the plants and better sun exposure, using recycled plastic posts.
Environmental Control
The company's environmental control plan includes the installation of an evapotranspiration process for the settled effluent, through a system called a wetland .
The production facilities have a large area with flooring coated with a highly resistant urethane product that has antimicrobial properties in its composition.
Production
The fermentation tanks are made of stainless steel, refrigerated to control the temperature during the winemaking process, with a current capacity of up to 25,000 liters, but the project envisions a capacity for 50,000 liters of sparkling wine.
The foam production, or re-fermentation, takes place in a cold chamber, and the "remuage" (ripening) is done in pupitres (seamount racks) that hold 1800 bottles per stage, located in an underground cellar.
Champenoise Method
The process used to produce sparkling wines is the traditional method (champenoise), which consists of double fermentation, first with the base wine in stainless steel tanks and second in the bottle itself.
